Hi, I’m Laura — the girl who writes about broken marriages, magical worlds, and the God who mends them.

First and foremost, if I had to describe myself in one word, it would be "rescued." Hopefully that brings to mind a pitiful, helpless, dying creature — because that’s exactly what I was before Jesus saved me. God showed His love for me in that while I was still a sinner, Christ died for me (Romans 5:8).

I live in Wyoming with my husband, Andrew, our four children, my moody cat, and my husband’s potato dog. We’re a blended family — the result of God taking two broken things and making one lovely whole.

I enjoy reading indie fantasy novels, baking mediocre sourdough bread, playing old-timey hymns on the piano and ukulele, painting, playing board games with my husband, and listening to podcasts (some of my favs: Haunted Cosmos, Bible Thinker with Mike Winger, and Writing Off Social).

When I’m not homeschooling the kids or doing things with my local church, I write closed-door romantic fantasy about married couples restoring their love and rediscovering their faith.
