Hi, I’m Laura — the girl who writes about broken marriages, magical worlds, and the God who mends them.

I write Christian fantasy romance where dragons are optional, but messy marriages are mandatory. My books aren't about finding true love — they're about what happens after the wedding, when "happily ever after" turns out to require a lot more work than anyone mentioned in the fairy tales. In worlds filled with magic and adventure, I write about couples who've already said "I do" and now have to figure out how to mean it — with God's help to mend what's broken.

My writing journey started when Jesus saved my marriage from the brink of divorce. In the aftermath, I went looking for fantasy romances about married couples actually working through their problems — and came up empty. So I decided to write them myself. Now I create the stories I so desperately needed during that vulnerable season: high-fantasy adventures where the real quest is learning to fight for each other instead of against each other.

I'm a Realm Awards semi-finalist and a certified fantasy addict who knows my way around a good worldbuilding system. But I've discovered that the best magic in any story is grace. My stories (Chosen of the Tapestry, Lost King of the Pattern, Mending and Madness, and A Hoard of Tales) feature intricate fantasy worlds, but at their core, they're about real struggles — broken trust, chronic illness, spiritual warfare, and the daily choice to keep showing up for love even when it's hard.

When I'm not writing scrappy marriages for weary hearts, I'm homeschooling four little goblins and managing chronic migraines with varying degrees of success. I write with whimsy and humor, even on the days when writing feels impossible. My struggles aren't separate from my stories — they make them better, more honest, and more real.

I write for readers who love epic fantasy but need to see marriages that look like theirs. For people who are tired of romance ending at the altar and want to know what comes next. For anyone who's ever felt too broken for their own love story and needs a reminder that God specializes in making beautiful things from shattered pieces.
